Secret History of EL Comics 22

That there are evil men in the world whose only aim is to lure children into victimized situations that may result in their deaths by futuristic tank contraptions is an obvious notation, but that a superhero lurks within any given child is not. This is the progressive message of the EL team’s story, which posits that no one needs to be a victim, that everyone can rise to the occasion of any situation to save themselves. Certainly, there might be a gamble taken — the space between the treads on that technological monster looks ample enough that the victim could, if he were feeling daring, wait and see if the tank of death bypassed him. Life does not welcome those who beat the odds, but who make them. That this victim is secretly a magically endowed superhero who can burst off his ropes is beside the point — the EL team once again prove their power at creating metaphorical lessons in personhood.
